Can I use GoldMine® with my Novell network?
Yes, but because the Novell network client drivers have been shown to exhibit problems that can seriously endanger your data, we recommend the use of Microsoft’s client for Novell networks when using GoldMine® in a Novell network. Refer to
FactsBack Document #348 for more information.

Does GoldMine® interface with Palm and CE Devices?
Yes GoldMine® 4.0, 5.0, 6.0 and Sales and Marketing all synchronize with Palm and Windows CE devices via built-in synchronization module. More information can be found in the manuals dedicated to the subject for each version of GoldMine®.

How do I create a complete backup of GoldMine®?

Which fax devices are supported in GoldMine®?
RightFax, FaxRush and WinFax are the supported fax solutions usable with the GoldMine® link to Microsoft Word.

Can I use GoldMine® to dial the phone?
Yes. GoldMine® uses your modem to dial the telephone. GoldMine® has a number of built-in functions that are utilized by a number of ISV products to really integrate your phone system with your database.

What types of databases does GoldMine® support?
The standard editions of GoldMine® 6.7 support dBase IV tables only. GoldMine® 6.7 Enterprise supports InterBase 4.2, MSSQL 7.0 or above, Oracle 7.3 or above and dBase IV tables. GoldMine® Corporate Edition™ Server supports MSSQL 7.0 only while remote FrontOffice users have the option of using dBase IV or MSSQL 7 or above.

How can I obtain the most recent patches available for my version of GoldMine®?
GoldMine® 4.0, GoldMine® 5.0 and GoldMine® FrontOffice 2000™ version updates are not available for download from the web. You must either obtain an update CD from the GoldMine® Sales department or an authorized VAR in your area or perform a Net-Update from an internet connected machine running GoldMine®. Where can I search for more technical information about GoldMine®?
The GoldMine® Software Online KnowledgeBase (powered by Peregrine Systems’ KnowlixWeb) is available 24-hours a day and is packed with information collected by technical support on all versions of GoldMine®.

The GoldMine® Newsgroups are available 24-hours a day for you to interact with other GoldMine® users including GoldMine® Software Technical Support Representatives.
